FACTS & TIDBITS:

The photo was made while shooting the movie Passion of Darkly Noon, in Saxony, Germany, near the city of Dresden. The girl is Ashley Judd, the actress playing one of the main characters in the movie.

VM: "I don't usually take photos when I'm doing a movie but I have. There are a couple of images [taken during the filming of] a movie called The Passion Of Darkly Noon. I thought the images were interesting, some stuff with an elephant (...)"; From: Things Are Weird Enough Juxtapoz Magazine, April 1999

Daisy must be the elephant's name, as the girl is Ashley Judd playing a character named Callie, and according to IMDB.com there was no Daisy in the crew of Passion of Darkly Noon.

Daisy was overworked and can be seen in the movie Perfect Murder and the Recent Forgeries book as the painting called Blue #1

Another small picture of Daisy is pasted into the painting Mute (Recent Forgeries)

COMMENTS:

EOS: There is this strange tension between the girl and the elephant. Since the first time I saw the picture in Odense, I was wondering if the stains on the garment are blood. Well, it seems I was right. :-) I also noticed that girl's legs seem to be painted(?) white, so they resemble the elephant's tusks.
